Population and Environment Relationship a Theoretical Consideration

    Get PDF
The relations between the environment and human population dynamics have frequently been sighted mechanistically. This evaluation explains the difficulties and background particulars of environment-population associations in different quantity of areas. It discovers the methods in which social scientists have required to recognize the associations between environmental changes and population dynamics. This study shortly evaluates different theories for recognizing the environment and population and then continues to give a up to date analysis of research that have observed five environmental issue areas and their association to population dynamics. The evaluate ends through connecting environment-population research to rising study on environment-human structures. Keywords: Environments, Population Dynamic

Does Financial Sector Development Promote Economic Growth in Pakistan? An Empirical Analysis Using ARDL Technique

    Get PDF
The primary objective of this study is to empirically assess the role of financial sector development that is needed to accelerate economic growth in Pakistan. The data of concern variables have been taken from statistical year book of Pakistan and federal bureau of statistics of Pakistan, time span from 1975 to 2013. To test empirically, Autoregressive and distributive lag model (ARDL) is applied to extract the relationship among variables (Gross domestic product, liquid liability, domestic credit and demand deposits). Results of the study confirm that these variables exhibit long run and short run behavior in the economy. Error correction model identify that the speed of adjustment is moderate to attain the equilibrium condition. Keywords: Financial development, Domestic credit, Demand deposit, Liquid liability, ARDL

The Empirical Investigation of Fertility Transition in Pakistan: Assessing the Role of Education, Family Planning and Women Empowerment (Using ARDL Approach)

The purpose of this paper is to assess the role of education, family planning and women empowerment to    determine their effects on total fertility rate in case of Pakistan because total fertility rate is higher as compare with other developing countries and the declining trend is slow despite of taking many steps by the government. This study based on the empirical examination to observe the relationship among concern variables. The data of concern variables have been taken from statistical year book of Pakistan and federal bureau of statistics of Pakistan, time span from 1975 to 2013. Autoregressive and distributive lag model (ARDL) is applied to extract the relationship among variables (total fertility rate, child mortality rate, female labor force participation, real growth rate, female secondary ratio and contraceptive prevalence). Results of the study confirm the long run and short run association among variables. Error correction model identify that the speed of adjustment is moderate to attain the equilibrium condition. Keywords: total fertility rate, female education, life expectancy at birth, per capita incom

Population and Environment Relationship:An Empirical Review with Respect to Pakistan

This study aims to discuss the components of population and causes and effects of overpopulation, on the economic development and environmental degradation. The data from 1947 to 2010 has been taken from different sources.  The methodology used in this work is an ADF test; OLS is used to check the relationship between dependent and independent variables. Using above techniques, the result of our study shows that there is upward trend found in temperature in almost all cities which is the proof that global warming affects Pakistan significantly. Urbanization takes place very quickly in Pakistan which is one of the major causes of environmental degradation. There are significant changes found in rainfall in different cities of Pakistan which cause severe environmental changes. There is found bi-causality between population and environment, overpopulation causes severe environmental degradation and this degradation of the environment affects population drastically. Scopeformer: n-CNN-ViT Hybrid Model for Intracranial Hemorrhage Classification

We propose a feature generator backbone composed of an ensemble of convolutional neuralnetworks (CNNs) to improve the recently emerging Vision Transformer (ViT) models. We tackled the RSNA intracranial hemorrhage classification problem, i.e., identifying various hemorrhage types from computed tomography (CT) slices. We show that by gradually stacking several feature maps extracted using multiple Xception CNNs, we can develop a feature-rich input for the ViT model. Our approach allowed the ViT model to pay attention to relevant features at multiple levels. Moreover, pretraining the n CNNs using various paradigms leads to a diverse feature set and further improves the performance of the proposed n-CNN-ViT. We achieved a test accuracy of 98.04% with a weighted logarithmic loss value of 0.0708. The proposed architecture is modular and scalable in both the number of CNNs used for feature extraction and the size of the ViT

Importance Of Socializers And Motivational Factors In Career Choice

    Get PDF
Career selection is a complex and continuous process which starts from childhood, develop through teenage years and at the final stage of adulthood, the individuals families themselves with the available alternatives and choose one which suit them. The study aims  to analyze the importance  of socializers and motivational factors on career choices of the students. The results will facilitate the students in choosing the right profession which enable them to utilize their potential to achieve their objectives/ destination. It is based on primary data collected through questionnaire survey from the students studying in the colleges & universities of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Taxila/ Wah Cantt: Chakwal & its vicinity, their parents and teachers. Based on the previous studies, six (06) socializers and twenty one (21) motivational factors are selected and opinion/ view points of the students, their parents & teachers are obtained. The responses are measured on Likert five (5) point scale. The results indicate that parents especially father is most influential in selecting profession of the students and directly or indirectly decides the students’ future career pathway. Money/handsome salary, status, employment opportunities, career development, personal recognition, professional respect etc are found the most influential motivating factors in career choice. The influence of socializers and  few motivational factors such as handsome salary, working conditions// hours, career development & security of job are found gender biased and in remaining motivational factors no significant difference is foun

Human Development: A Comparative Analysis in Democratic vs. Autocratic Regimes of Pakistan

    Get PDF
Human development is a topic that is one of the main agenda of the today’s world as well as for policy makers. This study is an effort to explore further this dimension by employing time series data over the span of 36 years from year 1980 to 2015 for Pakistan. We used Auto Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) techniques for long and short run empirical analysis to compare the autocratic and democratic regimes in context of human development. Moreover, an index for inclusive growth is constructed by combining multi variables and then its relation with human development is established. It is found that autocracy and trade openness could not improve the level of human development in the country
